EngagedMD, a mission driven startup empowering patients and providers to elevate the healthcare experience, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their growing team! They are modernizing patient education and informed consent and aim to improve health outcomes, increase patient satisfaction, reduce cost, and enable providers to focus on what matters. In this role, you’ll be responsible for improving their software release cycle through DevOps best practices, including automated regression testing and deployment of cloud infrastructure. You'll ensure appropriate AWS infrastructure is leveraged, stable, and easily redeployed with minimal customer impact, while enhancing AWS infrastructure monitoring and implement an automated alerting system.
Location: Currently Remote, position will be located in the Washington, D.C. office after the pandemic subsides with potential to remain remote.

Does This Describe You?

    • You have at least 5+ years of software development experience, specifically with backend languages including Java, Node.js, Bash, Shell, and/or Python
    • You are highly knowledgeable of Amazon Web Services, including instance management, CloudWatch, Route 53, Elastic Beanstalk, Cloudfront.
    • You have significant experience with Linux System Administration (Ubuntu, CentOS)
    • You have advanced knowledge in modern build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker
    • You have experience creating highly scalable cloud-based web applications (Caching, Queues, Notifications)
    • You have experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or Elastic Logstash Kibana.

Your First 30/60/90 Days

Familiarize yourself with existing code base. Assist with code deployments and AWS infrastructure management. Review current deployment and testing approaches. Being implementing automated testing and regression test improvements.
