EngagedMD,  a mission driven startup empowering patients and providers to elevate the healthcare experience, is looking for a Full Stack Developer (NodeJS) to join their growing team! They are modernizing patient education and informed consent and aim to improve health outcomes, increase patient satisfaction, reduce cost, and enable providers to focus on what matters. In this role, you will be contributing across their eLearn and eSign patient education and informed consent web application. You’ll be responsible for architecting back-end cloud infrastructure, building middleware APIs, and developing new features for their platform. You’ll also have a direct impact on the direction and culture of an early stage start-up working to modernize healthcare.
Location:  Currently Remote, position will be located in the Washington, D.C. office after the pandemic subsides.

Does This Describe You?

    • You have at least 5+ years of software development experience, with an advanced knowledge of Node.js (testing frameworks, profiling)
    • You have experience with strapi and/or other CMS frameworks
    • You have experience using modern build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker, etc.
    • You have experience with backend languages including Java, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, and/or Python
    • You have database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and query optimization
    • You are comfortable with code repository management (GitHub, BitBucket)

Your First 30/60/90 Days

Familiarize yourself with existing code base. Assist with code deployments, AWS infrastructure management, and automated testing improvements. Begin refactoring/enhancing selected microservice components.
