About the role:
As a Sr Front-End/FullStack Engineer, your primary responsibilities will encompass the design, architectural planning, and coding of a groundbreaking new initiative within Pryon’s product engineering domain. You will be at the forefront of leading the technical strategy and execution for extensive and intricate requirements, applying forward-thinking and insightful methods that not only impact the entire engineering function but also address large, multifaceted challenges.

Your role will extend to establishing a visionary direction for the strategic advancement of methodologies, techniques, and evaluation criteria. You will act as an advisor and guide for the team spearheading this new initiative, delegating responsibilities to seasoned technical leaders to ensure its success.

In addition, your proactive approach will involve identifying and rectifying communication gaps and issues, promoting alignment on complex matters among diverse audiences, and exerting influence on organizational goals and strategies. A crucial aspect of your role will be becoming a trusted coach and mentor, actively engaged in nurturing new leadership talent within Slack by providing continuous feedback and guidance.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Architect, design, and develop software that enables Pryon’s customers to manage critical operations that impact the sustainability and efficiency of their business
    Develop new user-facing features
  • Collaborate with our design and product teams to build products, tools, and solutions, and ensure the user experience meets release criteria
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve across platform
  • Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, processes and standards
  • Participate on cross functional design teams to develop expertise in other modules/systems
  • Engage with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of extensive engineering experience
  • Proficiency in front-end engineering, including hands-on experience with technologies like React and others
  • Demonstrated track record of contributing to and leading the successful delivery of impactful product features across all phases of development, from initial research and UX design to prototyping, testing, and development
  • Proven experience in taking ownership of technical architecture discussions and guiding critical technical decisions for an engineering organization
  • Ability to produce clear, testable code with a focus on long-term maintainability
  • Proficiency in coding using functional or imperative programming languages, such as Python, Go or Java
  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and communication
  • A “startup mentality” with previous experience in startup environments
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, fellowships, or work experience
  • Previous experience as a mobile or tech lead is a valuable asset
